Today On Good Day Sacramento

We can see Sarah!!

Good Day and TGIF!

Yes, tomorrow is the Fourth of July… and a wonderful time to really explore our nation's history. A reminder -- you MUST check out the Abraham Lincoln exhibit going on this month at the California Museum, 10th & O Streets in downtown Sacramento. The Gettysburg Address? Lincoln bible? The contents of his pockets the night he was shot? Even a 6'-diameter rendition of our 16th President -- in jelly beans! I'm telling you, this is a one-of-a-kind collection of items that will likely not be together again soon. www.californiamuseum.org.

Continuing with our patriotic theme -- it's the Brown Bag Throwdown!! This morning, Julissa Ortiz orchestrated chaos between returning champions Tex Wasabi's and challenger Hangar 17. All of the ingredients were either red, white or blue -- and the creations were electric! But how did they work in the Pop Rocks?? (Watch Video)

Who knew Howard Stern was starring in a local production of "Les Miserables"? Oh wait, I think it's Aerosmith's Steven Tyler. What? It's Slash from Guns n' Roses! No no no… it was just our own Mark S. Allen, playing the part of a raven-haired beauty (as in female) in the El Dorado Musical Theatre's production of the Broadway smash hit. Sure, he's adorable -- but can he act?? (Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3)

And an employee here at KMAX was so pale, she said, she's practically transparent. Or should I say, was transparent. Now, she can be proud of her beautifully tanned skin -- without having to spend a minute in the sun. The Wedding Tanner stopped by with her mobile tent to spray down our staffer -- and left her smelling like a nice bowl of Cheerios…. (Watch Video)
