The classic NorCal girl, Ashley Williams was born in the Bay Area but raised in Elk Grove, California. She attended California State University Sacramento, graduating with a BA in Communications. During Ashley's junior year at Sac State, she moved to LA, where she started her TV career. Interning with 20th Century FOX in TV Development, Ashley worked behind the scenes in developing pilots. After attending table reads, notes calls, pitches and even spending time on sets, Ashley realized TV was for her. She dove headfirst into finding her niche.

Ashley moved back to Sacramento in 2007 to complete her college degree, and began working as a production assistant on Good Day Sacramento and worked hard to learn the ropes of broadcast journalism. From writing to editing, Ashley took advantage of the resources around her, developing talents, skills, colleagues and friends she will keep for life.

In 2008, Ashley was given the opportunity to cover a story on the weekend show. That very moment changed the rest of her life. Though a novice by industry standards, her natural talent landed her a job as Good Day's weekend reporter.

Ashley credits God, her parents, and her own stubborn motivation and tenacity for her success. She is excited about her future with Good Day Sacramento.

In her spare time, Ashley enjoys going to the movies, running, and taking her dog Zoey to the park!
